💻 Medior Software Engineer (2 Positions)

About the Role

We are looking for experienced Medior Software Engineers to join a secure, mission-critical IT environment supporting national defence operations. You’ll work in a multidisciplinary Agile team, contributing to the design, development, testing, and deployment of advanced software systems that operate in high-stakes, high-security settings.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust, secure full-stack applications for defence-related systems.

• Collaborate with architects, testers, and system engineers in Agile/SCRUM teams.

• Ensure software meets performance, reliability, and security standards.

• Implement automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and code quality principles (SOLID).

• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and integration testing.

Hard Criteria (Must-Haves)

✅ Education: WO-level in Computer Science or equivalent.
✅ Experience: 5+ years in software automation, architecture, and full-stack development.
✅ Skills: Strong understanding of SOLID principles, multithreading, and performance optimization.
✅ Tools & Frameworks: Experience with VSCode, Azure DevOps, Qt, and working in SCRUM/SAFe environments.
✅ Citizenship: Dutch nationality only (VGB clearance required).
✅ Residency: Must have lived 10 consecutive years in the Netherlands.
✅ Languages: Excellent Dutch (C1 or higher) and good English.
✅ Security Clearance: Valid VGB (or willingness and eligibility to obtain it).
